Library Technician I
The Denison Memorial Library, University of Colorado at Denver and
Health Sciences Center, has an immediate opening for a Technician I
position in the Systems and Databases Department. This position is
full-time, 40 hours per week. The starting salary is $2,196 per month
including benefits.
Duties include: maintaining accurate journal receipt and bindery records
in the library computer database, receiving new journal issues,
preparing journal volumes for the bindery, assisting with maintaining
electronic links to journals, keeping up library records in National
Library of Medicine serials holding database, processing library mail,
mending library materials, and other tasks or special projects as
required.
Requirements for this position include: one-year general library
experience including typing, shelving, and maintaining library
materials. One year of college course work including six semester hours
of library science course work may be substituted for the general
library experience. Candidates must have good oral and written
communication skills, attention to details, excellent customer service
skills, and a willingness to adapt to change. Familiarity with
computers and library searching tools is a plus.
