The Alliance is hosting a workshop on the new WorldCat Discovery interface.

Are you curious about the transition from FirstSearch to WorldCat Discovery?  Ready to begin the transition process but not sure how to start?  The Alliance and OCLC are pleased to sponsor a hands-on workshop to introduce you to WorldCat Discovery and help you configure your library's Discovery website.   Bring your laptop and join us as Amy Lytle, Portfolio Implementation Manager, OCLC, helps you navigate the set-up options and discusses best practices for effective searching in this new interface.

You'll leave this half-day session with

  *   A ready-to-use WorldCat Discovery site customized for your library,
  *   Experience in searching the Discovery interface as a staff member and a patron,
  *   A migration strategy that fits your library's needs,
  *   And an understanding of the benefits of this new interface for searching OCLC databases and beyond.
