We’re delighted to announce that the NISO-BISG Changing Standards Landscape
Forum
<https://www.niso.org/events/15th-annual-niso-bisg-changing-standards-landscape-forum>
is back in person at the American Library Association’s Annual Conference
in Washington, DC! If you’ll be attending the conference, we very much hope
you’ll join us for this popular event — free and open to all registered ALA
attendees — from 12.00-4.00pm EDT on June 24 (room to be confirmed).

The theme this year is The Book: Usage, Economics, and the Future
<https://www.niso.org/events/15th-annual-niso-bisg-changing-standards-landscape-forum>,
and the program features:

   -

Welcome: Todd Carpenter, NISO and Brian O'Leary, BISG
   -

The Format of the Book and What That Entails (Keynote): Matt Kirschenbaum,
University of Maryland, author of Bitstreams (University of Pennsylvania
   Press)
   -

The Book Supply Chain in the 21st Century (Discussion): Gwen Evans,
Elsevier and Dean J. Smith, Duke University Press.
   -

Platforms - Technology and Infrastructure: Tim Lloyd, Liblynx
   -

Hosting the Collection: Maurice York, Big Ten Academic Alliance
   -

Preservation - How Can This Work Going Forward? Rina Pantalony, Columbia
University Libraries, and others to be announced.
   -

   Audience Exchange / Moderated Discussion

We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be an interesting and valuable
discussion — open to all registered ALA attendees (no additional
registration needed for this event).

Best wishes

The NISO Team
