number of themes provided structure for participants’ discussion of how
best to connect users with ebooks. Suggested areas for cross-sector

materials.

Where does the community stand today in furthering a robust strategy for
e-books? Where are emerging opportunities for the various stakeholders?
Attend the twelfth NISO-BISG *Changing Standards Landscape* forum to hear
from experts regarding the collaborative efforts intended to ensure that
your patrons get connected to the ebook content they want!

The NISO Resource Access in the 21st Century (RA21) Recommended Practice
outlines an improvement to the user-experience of SAML-based
authentication. To implement this technology moving forward, a consortium
of industry partners, including publishers, identity providers, and
libraries is forming to support implementation and run the RA21-based
service. The Coalition for Seamless Access will manage this service for
publishers and libraries, while continuing to improve this user experience,
provide governance on data policy issues, and maintain the web services.
During this session there will be a demonstration of the services, and a
discussion around privacy and policy issues surrounding the project.
