telecommunications failure

As of Noon, January 13, 2006 --

A number of statewide services operated by the Colorado State Library and
BCR are currently down -- likely due to a cut telecommunications cable in
Aurora where rampant construction is going on.  Qwest is working on
correcting the problem.

In the meantime, the following programs are not accessible:   Colorado
Virtual Library, SWIFT, Colorado's Historic Newspaper Collection, Library
Jobline, Library Directory, parts of AskColorado, and the libnet listserv
(hosted by BCR).

Please help spread the word through your local communications channels since
libnet and our swifthelp listservs are both down.

As soon as we have additional information, we will provide an update.  Have
a Happy Friday the 13th!
