Please excuse cross posting...

The CoALA Summit (formerly the CALC Summit) will take place at Regis University in Denver on Friday, May 25, 2012. The CoALA Board is pleased to announce a new Summit feature called ALICE Tales.

ALICE Tales will take place in a plenary session and will showcase 3 dynamic, engaging speakers. ALICE stands for Academic Librarians Innovate, Create, and Educate, and each Tale will fall within these broad themes.

If you have seen TEDTalks, then you know the style in which ALICE Tales will be given. If you are not familiar with TEDTalks, check them out at<> . The following presentations will give you a good idea of what ALICE Tales will be like:

* Charlie Todd: The shared experience of absurdity<>

* Richard Wilkinson: How economic inequality harms societies<>

* Erin McKean redefines the dictionary<>

Be one of the historic first ALICE Tales speakers! Applications are due February 29, 2012, and you will find instructions at .
