Hello Mary and other Gold Rush subscribers,

The Incident Tracker, which you will find in the GR Staff Toolbox under
the Holdings and Subscription module is a way to track problems with
particular databases or other products for your internal use only. The
CO Alliance doesn't monitor Incident Tracker. For example, if a
database is down during a particular time, you or a staff member can
create a ticket by completing the incident tracker form. You can also
email the incident to others on staff. Once the issue is resolved, you
can close the incident and it will be saved in a log that is created
after entering an incident.

If you have questions regarding Gold Rush, please email us at
[log in to unmask] . Several staff monitor this email address
regularly so this is the best email to use. You can also contact the
CO Alliance at 303-759-3399.

Thanks,

Rose

Hi Rose - I found a journal that was not displaying correctly and tried
to submit an "Incident Report". It gave me the following error message
(in red!):

1366, query = ins_incident, act_write_incident_to_db.cfm
1366, query = ins_incident, act_write_incident_to_db.cfm

I've never tried to do this before and am not sure what I did wrong. Is
there someplace different you like me to report problems?

Thanks, Mary

Hi Mary,

I'm still waiting to hear back from Ebsco about accuracy of their
coverage dates. My contact at Ebsco, Jared Atwater is still trying to
confirm coverage dates. In the mean time, if you do find anomalies,
please continue to report them so we can make corrections on the
existing lists.

Thanks,

Rose

Hi Rose - Have you had any updates on this, or is there something I need
to do (besides wait)?

Thanks - Mary

Hello,

We have recently updated a few of the key Ebsco databases. We download
Ebsco databases from a special ftp site that includes all the title
lists. This is a site all of the various ERM vendors use to update
Ebsco databases into their knowledge base. Ebsco also provides title
lists on their public site. However according to Ebsco, the title lists
on the ftp site are even more up to date than the title lists on their
public website. Unfortunately, this month, this has not been the case.
The title lists at least for a handful of databases (Academic Search
Premier, Business Source Premier, Mas Ultra School Edition, MasterFile
Premier and Business Source Compete) are not accurate. I have
contacted Ebsco about the discrepancies in their title lists, but have
not yet heard back from them. It looks like the title lists on their
public website are more accurate than the ftp site. So for now, we will
update the Ebsco databases using the title lists from the public
website.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, but hope to have the
accurate lists in place soon.

Thanks,

Rose
