GOLD RUSH ADDS "ASSOCIATED DATABASES" FEATURE TO SUBSCRIPTIONS

The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries is pleased to announce that a
helpful new enhancement has been added to the Gold Rush "Subscriptions"
module called Associated Databases. This new feature creates a closer
linking between a Subscriptions record in the Gold Rush ERMS (Electronic
Resource Management System) and the "Holdings" module in Gold Rush.

A library working on a Subscriptions record may now associate one or more
title lists with that subscription without leaving that module. In
addition, once a subscriptions record has been associated with one or more
title lists, one may easily work on those associated title lists without
leaving the module. Initially, the list of databases associated with a
particular subscription will appear at the bottom of the "Basics" tab,
although sites can move it to other tabbed sections if preferred.

The Subscriptions module has also added a new special function field called
"Public Display Terms". This field will allow a library to enter terms and
conditions to any particular subscription which will then appear in the Gold
Rush pubic interface for public viewing. This special Public Display Terms
field will appear for all title lists which are associated with that
particular subscription.

As always, full documentation for these new features is available by
clicking on the question mark within the GR Staff Toolbox.
