As was announced last week, the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries will be upgrading it's firewall on Friday, March 17th. As a result of this all of our services will be down for up to three hours. In an effort to minimize the inconvenience for users we have worked with our contractor and pushed back the downtime to start at 5pm MST. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The services which will not be available late day March 17th include:

Prospector

Gold Rush

The Charleston Advisor

Collaborative Digitization Program

Colorado School of Mines Voyager system

All listservs hosted by the Alliance

All email at the Alliance

cgi login scripts for FirstSearch for selected libraries

We will try and keep the downtime to a minimum but the firewall upgrade is key to the safe operation of all of the Alliance servers and network.

Once the firewall has been restored all systems should automatically come back online.

Several have asked if we can set-up Web redirects for the various services saying that we are temporarily down. This will not be possible since this work will mean that the Alliance has no presence on the Web at all during the downtime.

In summary, all Alliance services will be down on Friday, March 17th from 5pm-8pm MST.
