Library
Information,
Research and Outreach (Reference) Librarian
The
UCDHSC Health Sciences Library [http://hsclibrary.uchsc.edu/] seeks a dynamic,
forward-thinking, innovative and experienced Information, Research and Outreach
(Reference) Librarian to join us in an ongoing re-creation of reference
services.
The
UCDHSC health sciences campus includes schools of medicine, nursing, pharmacy,
and dentistry, allied health and graduate programs, and partners with the
University of Colorado Hospital. All Health Sciences programs are in the
process of moving to the new Anschutz Medical Campus in
[http://www.uchsc.edu/anschutzmedicalcampus/].
The Anschutz Medical Campus is on a forward momentum to embrace translational
and interdisciplinary research and education. Candidates who are excited by
the outreach opportunities that this momentum and the new campus and library
provide are invited to apply.
The new
twenty-first century library building at the Anschutz Medical Campus is
scheduled to open in fall 2007 [http://hsclibrary.uchsc.edu/fitzsimons/].

coordinating access to information in support of learning, research, clinical
care, and service to the community. The library is seen as a link between
people and knowledge in this technology-intensive era, helping to overcome
barriers, meeting needs for information, and providing navigation
assistance. All service points at the new library will be merged into a single
service desk, the provision of reference services will no longer be tied to a
physical reference desk and reference librarians will be engaged in the process
of finding new ways to collaborate, cultivate partnerships and develop
innovative services to the communities of health sciences professionals.
