Volunteer to be a grant reader for the 2007 - 2008 LSTA Grants The Colorado State Library seeks volunteer Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant proposal readers to evaluate grant proposals from Colorado libraries submitted for the 2007-2008 fiscal year. The federal LSTA funds are intended for distribution to any qualified type of library: academic, institutional, public, school and specialized to support proposals based on partnerships between libraries and library-related organizations. The Request for Proposals begins May 7. The deadline for submitting the proposals is August 1, 2007. NOTE: You must be able to * Read and review around 10-12 grant proposals; * Participate in a scheduled conference call for training on August 8, 2007; * Be part of a team of readers evaluating a group of proposals; * Attend the August 23, 2007 review team meeting in person to select projects for funding. * A clear understanding that you will excuse yourself from evaluating any grant that has the potential to present a conflict of interest.
