NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release: Denver, Colorado December 4, 2007 Preston Medical Library Licenses Gold Rush The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries is pleased to announce that Preston Medical Library http://gsm.utmck.edu/library/main.htm in Knoxville Tennessee has subscribed to Gold Rush Complete. Preston Medical Library provides exemplary research, reference and instruction for UT Graduate School of Medicine (GSM) faculty, staff, students, residents, physicians as well as outreach to the broader community. The library subscribes to an array of medical and health related databases as well as products of general interest to the community. In addition, they have a collection of ebooks from such publishers as StaffRef, PubMD, and MDConsult. From the library website you can take a virtual tour of the library, or read the blog to stay up to date with the latest changes in library service. The UT GSM, which is part of the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, strives to provide statewide initiatives in medical and dental education as well as selected research endeavors. GSM continues to grow with 170 residents and 200 faculty in 12 residency and 9 fellowship programs in medicine and dentistry. In addition to residencies, they offer ten fellowships and medical student core M3 rotations and M4 electives. In addition to teaching, faculty at GSM practice medicine and dentistry.
