NEXT GENERATION LIBRARY INTERFACES

All Alliance Conference

Friday, March 14, 2008, 8am-4pm

Holiday Inn Select Denver (455 S. Colorado Blvd)

Mark your calendars for Friday, March 14th the for Spring 2008 All Alliance
Conference. Libraries are re-envisioning their Web interfaces to include not
only their library OPAC but also suites of other electronic resources to
which they have access. A new class of library interfaces has emerged from
both commercial and open source sectors that allow exciting new
opportunities for search and discovery for patrons. This conference will
begin with a keynote address from Marshall Breeding (Vanderbilt University)
who will provide a overview of this new class of interfaces and services.
Vendor presentations from the major players will be offered throughout the
day so that participants will have an excellent understanding of the
technology and the marketplace by the end of the day. Presentations will
include an open source case study, AquaBrowser, Encore, WorldCat Local and
others.

If you are employed by a member library of the Colorado Alliance of Research
Libraries or are employed by a Prospector library, registration at the
conference is free. Non-Alliance or non-Prospector library registration is
$50. Registration for the conference is required. Because of limited
space, Alliance member libraries are initially limited to 10 registrants and
Prospector member libraries are limited to 3 registrants. We are asking
library deans/directors to send the list of registrants for their libraries.
If more spots are needed for your library let us know. Contact: Geri
