Come hear how the BBC manages their petabytes of digital audio and video
from Dr. Richard Wright, manager, Future Media and Technology.
On Monday, November 17, 1-3 p.m., BCR's CDP will be hosting Wright for
an afternoon session where he will share the BBC's experience in
converting content and determining how to preserve more than 70 years of
BBC recordings.

Wright will answer questions after his presentation, with a reception to
follow.
Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Wright has lived in the United Kingdom
since the 1970s, working with BBC and other European institutions in
developing standards and best practices for assuring long-term
accessibility to the BBC's vast resources. Wright also is the project
manager for BBC for PrestoSpace, Birth of Television and Spoken Word. He
is the author of PrestoSpace Preservation Guide
<http://wiki.prestospace.org> , among many other publications.
