Somewhere out there, a librarian is wondering what this
Twitter thing is all about.
A library staff member is drowning in possibilities:
Facebook, blogs, wikis, RSS feeds, LibGuides, LibraryThing...
You can help; you’ve got experience!
You’ve been using new technologies in exciting ways in
your job.
**So stop procrastinating and apply to present a
pre-conference program or workshop at the 2009 CAL Conference—Power ON: Avenues
for the Future.**
Of course, we’re still looking for a wide range of
programs. All varieties of know-how (low- as well as high-tech) are welcome!
Program proposals must be submitted by 11:30 PM on
SUNDAY, MAY 17.
For more information and to submit a proposal, visit

*Pre-conference programs are half- or full-day sessions
that will take place on Thursday, November 19th. These sessions provide more
in-depth discussion of topics than workshops offer.
*Workshops are 50-minute sessions that will be presented
on Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st. These sessions give
an overview on topics of interest.
(Note: Indicate on the workshop proposal form if you'd
like your original research considered for the peer-reviewed session.)
