Hello, The CO Alliance has embarked on an exciting new project to connect Prospector to the MOBIUS (http://mobiusconsortium.org/ ) INN-Reach system in Columbia, Missouri using III's Peer-to-Peer software. Mobius is a 501(C)(3) Non-profit Consortium based out of Columbia, MO. It has over 70 members, which include several academic and seminary libraries, some public libraries, with Tulsa Public being the largest and a few special libraries. Prospector patrons will have access to an additional 27 million items in the Mobius union catalog. If a patron doesn't find what he/she is looking for in Prospector, there will be a button in Prospector to search for the item in the Mobius catalog. If the item is found in MOBIUS, the patron can place the request just as they would place a request in Prospector. They will authenticate with the appropriate information and select a pick up location for delivery. Over the last month, the Alliance has been working very closely with III, the MOBIUS consortium, CLiC and technical contacts at each Prospector library to configure local systems for lending and borrowing through MOBIUS and set up delivery through the courier. We are down to the final details and plan to launch the service on August 5, 2014. PLEASE NOTE: Prospector will be down all day Monday, August 4, 2014 in final preparation for the launch the following day. Currently, Marmot libraries are not part of the project. This means they won't be able to borrow or lend with the MOBIUS libraries due to some technical issues related to their system settings. However, they will continue to lend and borrow with Prospector libraries as usual.
