ACRL Research Data Management Roadshow

FREE One-day Workshop

May 13, 2019

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

University Center Panorama Room

University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, CO

 

The University of Northern Colorado Libraries is bringing the ACRL Research Data Management Roadshow to the Front Range. This day-long workshop is intended for liaisons with little or no knowledge of research data management—no experience required! Librarians and staff in administration, management positions, and technical services may also benefit from attending this workshop. Registration is free for all attendees, and breakfast and lunch are provided.

 

Research data management has emerged as a need among academic researchers, and liaisons are building skills in response. This workshop will help liaisons identify existing skills and mindsets that transfer to research data management services, and then create a learning plan for the RDM-specific knowledge needed to serve their subject disciplines. Tools, hints, and tricks will be shared that facilitate partnerships on campus with disciplinary faculty and other RDM service providers. Presenters will be Megan Sapp Nelson, Professor of Library Sciences & Science and Engineering Data Librarian at Purdue University, and Sarah Wright, Life Sciences Librarian for Research at Cornell University.
