Good morning,

 

SB23-048 Non-Tenured Track Faculty bill has been approved by both the Senate and the House.

The House added an amendment and, upon review, the Senate concurred with the revised wording which requires a contract or contract extension to include a provision for when it is unenforceable. https://leg.colorado.gov/sites/default/files/documents/2023A/bills/2023a_048_rer.pdf

 

The Governor hasn’t signed it (yet?) but I don’t think it likely that he would veto it. I suspect we may learn more details at today’s Legislative Committee meeting.
