We are also in the process of
enhancing provider and database names now that they can be more easily found
however entered. For example, we have changed WILSON to HW WILSON, we are
putting in popular acronyms (e.g. DOAJ) and others. If anyone has
recommendations for name enhancement be sure to let us know.

Little bit tardy in
acknowledging this……this is a great feature. I no longer have to remember
that Wiley is filed under John S. Wiley!
Thanks!

Subject: Gold Rush Enhanced Holdings Feature
Dear Colleagues,
On Thursday, July 29th Gold Rush will be
releasing an improved way to select Provide/Database combinations in the Gold
Rush Staff Toolbox. Currently, one must first select the Provider and
after doing that a list of Databases for that provider will appear. The
challenges with this method are that one must first know the Provider and how
it is filed – something that is not always obvious. Secondly, this technique is
a bit slow.
The new enhancement will offer a single box where you can just
start typing the characters for any part of the Provider/Database name.
The system will provide a real-time narrowing selection of possibilities that
match the character string. It is much faster and you can enter the
search in any order.
This new technique will work in many different areas in the
GR Staff Toolbox including Holdings (selecting or deleting databases), Compare
Two Databases, Compare Multiple Databases, etc.
Let us know how you like the new feature at [log in to unmask].
Also, let us know if you have questions or encounter any unusual behavior.
