Subject: Present a Program at CAL Conference 2009

Hi Rose,

A new year, another CAL conference! Would you mind posting this message
to Alliance-L?

Thanks so much,

Katherine

----------------------------------------------------

Times may be tough, but libraries haven't lost their belief in
possibility.

Get ready for CAL Conference 2009 - Avenues for the Future: Power ON!

It's time to propose a pre-conference program or workshop and show how
your library is forward-thinking.

As always, CAL is looking for a wide variety of programs.
But we're also specifically seeking programs that will help libraries
blast ahead with creative uses of technologies. Does your library use
tagging, blogging, social networking? Have you tapped into a tool no one
else is talking about yet? The CAL annual conference is the perfect
place to share.

For more information and to submit a proposal, visit www.cal-webs.org
<http://www.cal-webs.org/>
Proposals must be submitted by 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.

*Pre-conference programs are half- or full-day sessions that will take
place on Thursday, November 19th. These sessions provide more in-depth
discussion of topics than workshops offer.

*Workshops are 50-minute sessions that will be presented on Friday,
November 20th and Saturday, November 21st. These sessions give an
overview on topics of interest.
