NEWS RELEASE

GOLD RUSH ADDS ARTICLE LEVEL LINKING FOR MD CONSULT

The Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries is pleased to announce that Gold
Rush has added article-level linking for the MD Consult online service. Up
to this point Gold Rush only offered journal-level linking to MD Consult.
MD Consult is produced by Elsevier and includes a family of electronic
information resources aimed at the clinical content needs of physicians and
other health care professionals. It is widely used by medical libraries in
academic and hospital settings.

MD Consult has a set of proprietary article linking algorithms that required
custom programming. To accommodate article-level linking to this service a
new link rule has been created called PMID (this stands for PubMed ID).
Colorado Alliance staff has automatically added MD Consult article linking
to all sites who have selected one of the MD Consult collections in Gold
Rush Holdings.

Let us know if you have questions about this new feature.
